The Creativity Project - Family Theme - DTB Photography.

The Creativity Project

Family

We are all family. I'll say that again... We are all family!
If you trace back the genealogy of human existence, whether by theology or science, we all share a common ancestor. No matter the race or region, we are all family.
If only we could all share the same view.

I sustain myself with the love of family.

The Creativity Project

- Art -

What is art? To me art is much like love, it is in the eye of the beholder. Like love, there are many types of art. From the stick figures of our youths to the Mona Lisa, it is all art.
Like love, Its worth is wrapped in emotion and self reflection. A drawing from my daughter is worth more to me than any professional painting ever could. Is art the graffiti on the walls? The knitted sweater, the handmade jewelry, a favorite poem? The arrangement on the table? The lines in the sand? Is not every piece of sea glass art that was created by the sea itself? Is it in the click of a shutter? It is what we see in an ordinary moment, twisted to reflect our vision. A small piece of ourselves in every photo. Are all of these things art? Of course they are! Art is Everything!
Art is as infinite as love... Art is love.

The Creativity Project Monthly Theme - Feet, Hands, Bodies, Wrinkles, Age.

The Creativity Project
Monthly Theme
 Feet, Hands, Bodies, Wrinkles, Age.

This month has been a rough one. Hectic to say the least. I had many ideas in store for this theme but I didn't make it around to doing any of it. Hopefully I will get some done during the month and add to the blog and project. I just took these shots of my talented sister painting faces at a local country jamboree event. She has been through the ringer lately with a botched surgery on her back, loss of job because if it and limited mobility. She is so artistic it floors me. I give you these hands of hers. They carry talent, creativity and artistry, love, but most of all, strength and perseverance. She could barely move but brought smiles to so many faces. It was great to watch all the kids light up when they saw their faces.

 These hands bring smiles!

Thank for visiting, please continue on with the circle and visit Pam's page @

The Creativity Project - Home Theme by DTB Photography

The Creativity Project

Home

"The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are, and not be questioned."

We put it in this jar and it cocooned that night. It will turn into a beautiful moth with a six inch wingspan.
This not so little guy was making a home outside my home

This is a macro of a Laugher Caterpillar that was on my porch. I think it needs a haircut!

 Sea Glass Art
Home is always where this little darling is!

 Shadows on the wall

They say, "home is where the heart is" and my heart is always with her

To me home is not a place, but a feeling one gets. It is a moment, a smile,
a place of comfort I find when I am content. Home is in me, in you, and in her.

"A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams."

Thanks for visiting my blog.

The Creativity Project | Storytelling

Storytelling

Some people look at me like I am crazy for the amount of sea glass I have collected this month!
"It's just glass" they say...
I look at it another way...
This story is about me collecting but each piece of glass has its own story.
It has been on its own adventure from creation by man to art form by nature.
Ravaged by storms, unknown origins, lengths of travel, and age. Hints of writing give me clues.
One piece said Keyport, NJ on it, another said ART...
All of them have been on their own journeys driven by man and nature.
Here are my photos from my collecting adventures.

My cleaning set up with home made sifter and bench made from a pallet.

This is what 2400 pieces of sea glass looks like. All collected from the same beach in 5 or 6 short trips there.

Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope you will do the same for Stephanie - http://creativeheartbystephanie.blogspot.com
